About Ritchie
Ritchie received his Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from McGill University in Montreal, Canada in 2005, a Master’s Degree in Athletic Training and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Seton Hall University in New Jersey, USA, in 2009. In addition to numerous post-graduate continuing education courses and certifications, Ritchie is a Board Certified Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy (OCS) from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties, a designation earned by only 5 percent of physical therapists across the country, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT) , a designation earned by less than 1 percent of physical therapists in the US. His training and clinical experience allows him to be a better clinician and provide you with the comprehensive service and thoughtful attention you deserve.
In 2013, Ritchie founded Plyo Physical Therapy in Allendale, NJ, with the vision of creating a clinic that focuses on the integrated nature of the human body, with individualized care in a nurturing environment.
Ritchie says…
Physical Therapy to me is not just a profession, it is profound wisdom and knowledge. It is not just about treating individual joints or muscles, it is a journey to uncover who we are and how we can be better, in mind, body and spirit. It is about realizing how our world and our bodies function as an integrated unit and how innocuous imbalances in our daily life can have a substantial effect on how we move and live. The body has tremendous power to recuperate, regenerate and rejuvenate. The study of Physical Therapy imparts us with the ability to discover how to do so.
